MailLite

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MailLite ("MailLite", "we", "us") handles information when you use our email client. By connecting your account and using MailLite, you agree to the practices described here.

MailLite is operated by Mail-Lite (Adem Lambert), located in France. If you have questions, contact us at support@mail-lite.top.

1. What MailLite does

MailLite is an email client. It lets you sign in with your own Google account and read and manage the messages in that same mailbox through the MailLite interface. MailLite only ever accesses the account of the person who signs in.

2. Information we access

When you connect your Google account through Google's OAuth consent screen, you grant MailLite permission to access the following:

We only request the scopes necessary to provide these features. You can review the exact permissions on Google's consent screen before you approve, and decline at any time.

3. How we use the information

We use the data accessed from your Google account solely to operate the features you asked for:

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with third parties except as strictly required to run the service (see "Service providers" below) or where required by law.

4. Limited Use disclosure

MailLite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer or use Google user data for serving ads, and we do not allow humans to read your data unless we have your explicit consent, it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

5. Data storage and retention

To keep you signed in, MailLite stores the OAuth tokens issued by Google (an access token and, where applicable, a refresh token) associated with your account. These tokens let MailLite access your mailbox on your behalf until you disconnect.

You can delete your connection and the stored tokens at any time (see "Your choices").

6. Service providers

MailLite may rely on infrastructure providers (for example hosting) to run the service. Any such provider only processes data as needed to operate MailLite and is bound to protect it. MailLite runs on a single virtual private server; email data is fetched from the Google Gmail API on demand and is not shared with any third party.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information MailLite handles, including protecting stored tokens and using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to communicate with Google. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

8. Your choices and controls

9. Children

MailLite is not directed to children under the age required by law in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice.
