MailLite

Your inbox, clean and private

MailLite is a lightweight email client for your own Google mailbox. You connect your account, and MailLite shows your mail in a fast, distraction-free interface. Your data stays yours.

Connect your account See how it works

Connect your own account

Sign in with Google using the official, secure OAuth flow. MailLite only ever accesses the mailbox of the person who signs in.

Clean, dark inbox

Read your messages in a comfortable dark interface with your inbox, categories, spam and other folders, just where you expect them.

Fast search

Find any message in seconds. Search by sender, subject or content, including partial matches on recent mail.

Spam & categories

Your Primary, Social, Promotions and Updates tabs plus Spam and Trash are all available, mirroring how your mailbox is already organized.

You stay in control

Disconnect any time from within MailLite or directly in your Google Account security settings. Revoking access is instant.

Privacy first

MailLite does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising, and only reads what it needs to display your mailbox to you.

How it works

Three steps, and you're in

1. Sign in with Google. You authorize MailLite through Google's official consent screen. You choose to grant access; nothing happens without your explicit approval.

2. MailLite loads your mailbox. Using the access you granted, MailLite retrieves your messages and displays them in its interface.

3. Read and manage your mail. Browse folders, search, and open messages. When you're done, disconnect whenever you like.

Data & permissions

What MailLite accesses, and why

To show you your mail, MailLite requests permission to access your Google account. We ask for the minimum needed for the features above:

  • Your email address and basic profile — to identify the account you connected and display it in the app.
  • Read access to your Gmail messages — to list your folders and show message contents in the MailLite interface.

MailLite's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
